I am a senior in college. I am currently taking a course on developmental psychology where we tackle big issues surrounding child development. We are now on the issue of gay and lesbian adoption and foster parenting. The issue raised is is this healthy for children. A lot of discussion will center around the whole biological/social aspect of homosexuality. Are we born gay or are their social aspects? Are children more likely to be gay if they have gay parents? blah blah blah
It is definitely going to be a heated discussion tomorrow. I don’t think I’m ready for it. I’m not out yet (only one person knows I’m gay/bi). I don’t want this class and my opinions to force me to come out due to my beliefs on this subject.
